Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour
Corn Starch
Eggs
Milk
Bread Crumbs
Garlic Powder
Chili Powder
Italian Seasoning
Teaspoon Black Pepper
Teaspoon Salt
Mozzarella Cheese
Oil

Method:

1. Beat the egg(s) with chili powder and a tablespoon of milk. (For eight small sticks)
2. Place the breadcrumbs in one shallow plate.
3. Place the flour/cornstarch/ seasonings mixture in another.
4. Cut the cheese into half inch pieces. These are usually long, but can be made shorter to look like nuggets.
5. Coat the cheese with the flour mixture, then egg, then bread crumbs. Give it at least three coats and shape it with your hands.
6. Freeze this for 20-30 minutes. This will prevent the cheese from leaking, which makes the entire process very messy.
7. Heat oil well and put the frozen sticks in it.
8. It will turn brown very quickly, so vigilance is recommended. Allow it to turn a slightly darker shade of golden grown before taking them off on tissue.
9. Serve warm with dipping sauce, and don't keep it too long before consuming it, otherwise the cheese hardens.
